Definition: It is a bonus point category. Each element in this category only applies for one point. Use innovative technologies and strategies to improve a building’s performance well beyond what is required by other LEED credits. Rewards projects for including a LEED Accredited Professional on the team to ensure a holistic, integrated approach to the design and construction process.

Why?
It gets us extra points for LEED. Or as they say bonus points. Be more Eco friendly, and make thing look better.

How?
Heat Wall (Passive Heating): Maintains and absorbs heat into the walls saving energy on heating.

Hallways on the outside of the building: You should put hallways on the outside of the building. That way the hallways will be cold instead of the classroom being cold.

Sky Lights: You Should also put I sky light. This will help make less light pollution because there natural light so you don’t need to have the lights on as much. It also gives you beautiful natural light. It will save energy and it is cheep. Make them on a slant so that the snow will fall right off of them.

Roof Gardens:You can do is put a garden on the roof. this will help absorb water and it will also help with insulation. It is also easy to do and does not cost a lot! A roof garden can be used to insulate the building, this would make an innovative way to learn about the bio-sphere.
